Enuresis Seminars for Healthcare
Providers
The Division of Pediatric Urology at Children's
Memorial Hospital in Chicago periodically presents workshops on the
medical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of children who wet.
The program is designed for physicians and their allied paramedical
personnel. Participants receive a certificate and attain confidence in
the management of this often frustrating problem.
Why Advanced Enurology Training is Important
This is the first comprehensive program offered to medical
professionals that provides them with organized clinical strategies,
support, and patient materials necessary for the successful treatment
of enuresis. Rather than referring patients with wetting problems, it
allows primary care physicians to successfully manage the treatment of
those patients themselves.
What is Covered in the Training
The Pediatric Enurology Program will introduce the concept that
wetting may be related to enuresis rather than incontinence. You will
learn to use multimodal treatments which are the essence of the Try
for Dry approach, systematically addressing the most common factors in
the wet child: deep sleep, small functional bladder capacity, food
sensitivities, bowel irregularity and psychological issues. The "hands
on" teaching format will give you confidence in treatment techniques
you can immediately take back to your practice.
